I am with a USDA approved food program that monitors our menus and visits the daycare several times a year.
 
Menus are available with our newsletter so you are aware of what your child is eating. I don't force the kids to eat anything they don't want, but I do encourage them to eat 1 bite per their age, so that they can explore different foods and learn what they like and don't like. It takes 12 times trying a new food for a child to really know if they like something or not. I have found that after some time, the child ends up liking something they thought they didn't.
